Book lovers and curious minds rejoice! The world's largest floating book fair, Logos Hope, is set to dock in Jamaica once again, bringing with it over 5,000 titles, cultural exchange, and a one-of-a-kind international experience.

๐Ÿ“š A Month in Kingston, Then Off to Montego Bay

From July 19 to August 19, the Logos Hope will be stationed at the Cement Coal Pier in Kingston, before making its way to Montego Bay from August 22 to September 14. Opening hours in Kingston are:

  • Tuesday to Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

  • Sunday: 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Montego Bay's schedule will be announced soon — so keep your eyes peeled!

๐Ÿ›ณ More Than Just Books

While the ship is best known for its vast book fair, Project Coordinator Ema Smithdorff emphasizes that the experience goes beyond the page.

“Logos Hope is more than just books… You can interact with the international crew, make friends, learn about different cultures, and attend unique events,” said Miss Smithdorff during a recent JIS Think Tank at the Television Department in Kingston.

Visitors can enjoy:

  • An interactive storyline showcasing the love between a father and son

  • A guided one-way tour aboard the vessel

  • Access to drinks, ice cream, and snacks at the international cafรฉ

๐ŸŒ Cultural Events You Won’t Want to Miss

Included in the $500 entry fee (free for children under 12 and seniors over 65) is access to unforgettable cultural moments:

  • Cultural Fair: August 6, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

  • Meet the World: August 8, 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. (Admission $600)
